We're a group of local volunteers in the Roanoke Valley area, trained and dedicated to helping you find the answers and guidance you need in navigating issues of addiction and substance use disorders. However --
If you're in an immediate life-threatening crisis, call 911.
Since our founding in 2017, we've helped more than 300 people from around the region find the help they need. We understand what it can mean for you to ask for help. Whether it's for yourself or a loved one --
-
If you're considering treatment for addiction, we can help you find the right fit.
-
If you're looking for the right kind of support group, we likely know where to find one.
-
If you need faith-oriented support, we can probably point you in the right direction.
We're not a treatment facility or a faith-based program. We're quite simply individuals who can relate to your suffering; here to provide safe and confidential answers to what can often times be difficult-to-ask questions.
When it comes to issues of a substance use disorder, our volunteers are here to help you find a path forward that's right for you.

Spread your wings
Volunteer.
The backbone of our work is thanks to the support and service of volunteer "Angels". As the term implies, these are unique individuals who have received the training necessary to provide members of our community the guidance and support they need, often in a time of crisis.
If this sounds like the kind of service you'd like to learn more about and/or potentially train to provide your community, please give us call or come to our next training session. We literally help save lives. Which is a pretty cool thing.

Making it all possible
Our Supporters.
In service to the community for just over two years, we've accomplished some pretty amazing things, while working on a shoestring budget.
We're grateful to those who have helped to support us. As we continue to chart our path forward we welcome your financial contribution and local wisdom to help us build The Hope Initiative into a sustainable life-saving organization.
We humbly encourage you to support our important work with a donation here. Thank you.
